Overview
Do you use software for Digital Whiteboarding?
This software is usually for collaboration, digital sticky notes, sketching, user flows, workshops, etc. Whiteboarding tools are rapidly becoming a staple of remote work.
Do you use software for Digital Whiteboarding?
Respondents working only in an office are about 21% less likely to use a Digital Whiteboarding tool than their hybrid- or remote-working counterparts.
Which software do you primarily use for Digital Whiteboarding?
For the first time since we began tracking, FigJam has surpassed Miro in usage for our respondents. If we combine usage with Figma then the story changes.
While it's tempting to say that FigJam is "beating" Miro, remember that we have a very biased sample (designers) and that Miro serves several markets.
In the fall of 2023 Miro acquired Freehand, which means one less player in this space next year.

Are you using AI within any of the tools you selected for digital whiteboarding?
Responses mention leveraging AI features in tools like Lucidspark and FigJam to assist with ideation, brainstorming, and summarizing ideas.
Data organization and analysis is also mentioned for clustering lists, analyzing notes, and summarizing insights.
Segmented by payment status
Where previously these tools may have seemed like a "nice to have", most of these tools have become an essential part of collaborative work (as we can see here by most tools being paid for by employers or teams)
Segmented by working situation
There is no clear leader for remote tools, and given high satisfaction ratings, it seems like just about any of these tools can do the job well.
65% of respondents primarily using Mural are working in a hybrid environment. This same pattern was observed last year, but we still haven't nailed down what's driving it.
